This is very cool. Although after my initial impression the second thing I thought was it seemed expensive ($10).

Apple refreshes it’s laptop lineup and ads i5/7′s
Yesterday Apple quietly refreshed it’s laptop lineup. They added new chips, the 2010 Intel i5 and i7 but one thing that jumped out at me was the ability to get a higher resolution screen again.
They’ve dumped the antiglare ($50) option and instead its now antiglare + high resolution (1680×1050). In true Apple fashion it’s going to run you $150 for that upgrade but they may have ticked a couple more boxes that might convince me to upgrade.
Now if they could just do something about that razor edge.

HP slate video takes a stab at the iPad
It’s going to be a fun year watching all of the big boys battle it out, which in the end it can only be good for the consumer. Although (as most people know) I don’t care very much for the iPad I will hand it to Apple for innovating and making everyone step up their game.

Palm Pre Plus killer feature

WebOS is pretty nice. It would have been nicer had Palm come out with it 5 years ago when they dominated the smart phone market and started talking about ALP, but I digress.
While watching TV tonight I saw a Verizon ad for the Palm Pre Plus, there was one feature that very much cought my attention, that was the “Create a Wi-Fi hotspot wherever you are”. Palm’s site says…
“Turn your phone into a 3G hotspot for up to five devices.5 The Palm mobile hotspot app provides broadband Internet access for your laptop and lets friends or coworkers connect at the same time. It’s simple to set up and easy to use. And it’s like getting a phone plus a Wi-Fi router all in one. (Available on Verizon Wireless only.)”

Google releases AT&T 3G compatible Nexus One
Finally, I’m one step closer to unshackling myself from Apple. Now all I need is that sweet sweet subsidy.
I’m generally a fan of Apple products but I can not stand the direction they’ve gone with the iPhone and soon iPad.
Nexus One now compatible with the AT&T 3G network and shipping to Canada
Update: Aparently there are a few others that a pretty psyched as well because if you try to buy one you get a 502 Server Error.
